If you are living with it

A dispute at home follows you everywhere. It is exhausting, and it is not a sign that you have handled anything badly.

When the conflict is with a neighbour, a landlord or someone you see every day in your street, there is nowhere to put it down. People describe losing sleep, avoiding their own garden, dreading the sound of a car pulling up. That strain is normal, and it is usually the reason a small disagreement about a hedge, a bin or a parking space has grown into something much larger.

Mediation is voluntary. You choose to come, you choose what you are willing to discuss, and you can stop at any point. Nothing is imposed on you, and nothing is agreed unless you agree to it yourself.

It is also confidential. What is said in the room stays in the room, and I do not report back to anyone unless you both ask me to. If a housing association or local service made the referral, they hear only whether an agreement was reached, not the detail of the conversation.

I am not there to decide who is right. I have no stake in the outcome and I do not take sides. My role is to make a difficult conversation possible: to slow it down, keep it civil, and give each person the space to be heard properly, often for the first time in months.

What community mediation can help with

  • Neighbour disputes
  • Noise and boundary disagreements
  • Shared space or parking conflicts
  • Disputes in housing associations or residential communities
  • Anti-social behaviour situations
  • Intergenerational or family-community tensions

How it works

Step one

Initial consultation (free)

An informal, confidential call. You tell me what has been happening, and I explain how mediation works. There is no obligation to go further.

Step two

Individual pre-mediation meetings

I meet each person on their own, privately, so everyone can speak freely and think about what they would like to change.

Step three

Joint mediation session

A calm conversation at a pace that suits you, ending with practical arrangements you both agree to live with. Sessions take place on neutral ground in Cheshire, or online if that suits you better.

Talk it through, with no obligation.

A confidential first conversation about what has been happening and what mediation could look like for you.
